The RI Unified Research Center of CJDATS2 is a partnership that includes Rhode Island Hospital, the University of Rhode Island, the RI Department of Corrections, Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, and the University of Puerto Rico. Other collaborators in RI include: The Miriam Hospital, RI Adult Drug Court, Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., CODAC Treatment Center, Inc., the Rhode Island Training School (juvenile corrections), and the Division of Juvenile Probation and Parole. Partners in Puerto Rico include: the Puerto Rico Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR), Mental Health and Anti-Addiction Services Administration of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (ASSMCA), Puerto Rico Administration of Juvenile Institutions, and Puerto Rico Juvenile Courts. Peter D. Friedmann, MD, MPH, and Lynda Stein, PhD, with CJ-Partner Frederic Friedman, EdD, CCHP, are co-PIs for the RI Unified Center. Carmen Albizu Garcia, MD, is the site PI for Puerto Rico. Other investigators include Josiah Rich, MD and Jennifer Clarke, MD, MPH.
